About me

I left my career as a financial magazine editor and journalist in 2005 to concentrate on my sideline of illustration full time. I am cover artist for The Week in the US and UK, and other regular clients include Moneyweek and Highlights magazine. I won the (UK) Cartoon Art Trust’s Award for Caricature in 2009, and my first children’s picture book, I Need My Monster by Flashlight Press, has won six State young readers’ awards in the US and been turned into an animated short by University of Colorado, Denver. I have since illustrated some 20 further picture books, plus several dozen black & white children’s novels. 

I live in Cheltenham, UK, with my wife and two sons.
